  1. that is probably one of the more...insightful...answers i have ever heard...wow...good job feylya Hey, I just say what I see!
  2. Just build one! I doubt it's all that complex and cheaper than $50 or whatever StewMac were charging.
  3. DSL - Same Speed uploading and downloading ADSL - Slower Uploading Speed - exchange ~3km away. RADSL - Slower than ADSL, slower upload speeds but you can be further away from the exchange - ~5km
  4. 2megs?? And I was happy with my 512k. And to completely correct, you have adsl or possible radsl but not DSL.
  5. Copyleft is kinda the opposite of copyright. It becomes public property and nobody can legally sell it as per the plans (whenever we make them). But I think there's quite a few people on here that want piezos in FR's so I think it'd be a nice idea. Just keep it extremely simple but very cool!!
  6. Basically, he has a degree in Physics, ran an electronics compayn for several years and was head electronic engine in the main television company in Ireland for about 20 years so he knows a bit. He'll be building a solid state poweramp and probably a tueb preamp. I'll have to talk to him at length at some stage (possibly tomorrow) about everything and see how things would work out.
  7. I was thinking about this and I figured 1) Make it copy left 2) Making it only available to Project Guitar Members 3) Asking for money only for parts (maybe ask Brian to handle the money because he's probably the most trusted here) 4) It's only an idea. It may never actually happen but it would be cool to see something hard and real coming from Project Guitar. There seems to be a lot of people wanting piezo FR's (I want a 7 string one) so there would be the want for them. And I'm not talking about copying a folyd rose exactly. Kind of a Lo-Pro, Edge, OFR, Wilkonson, Kahler trem combo monster.
  8. I'm a huge fan of black and blue trans finishes (mmm, the colours of bruise!!) I'm sorry to say this, but you're website is horrible. Could you not at least fork out a bit of money for an address and some ad free hosting?
  9. No, I mean on these boards. The FR copyright is up AFAIK and Ibanez wouldn't be owed a thing because mo omes copying their trem exactly. They're not the only trems with piezos.
  10. Hmm, there be some legal implications there. Who would own the copyright?
  11. w00t! Ok, first things first - what's a piezo
  12. Hmm, interesting on both counts.
  13. Maybe stick a few sheets together? Make sure they don't overlap but I'm sure there's some arrangement that would allow for even sanding.
  14. Nope, wasn't me. I believe it was daveg.
  15. I reckon between all of us here on this forum, there's enough expertise and experience to design and build out own uber double locking tremelo with piezo's. Who's with me?
  16. It's interesting what comes out of my head sometimes.
  17. I used to use a fairly big CNC mill in a factory I used to work in. All the had was a sheet of wood, with a block screwed to it and a clamp device thing opposite the block, just far enough away that the wood to be mill could fit easily until you closed the clamp. Very simple but worked rather well.
  18. Cool. Don't suppose you have any pics of the finished guitar?
  19. Whoo, what's the deal with that? To get at the lockers? Mmm, seven string, has to be my first guitar.
  20. Maybe I'll do ya a good deal on one, eh?
  21. Aye, but I was thinking more along the lines of being able to route the piezo's into the magnetic's effects so that you could have the magnetics and the piezo's running through a chorus effect, going to the same amp at the same time. It would be an interesting effect I imagine.
  22. Hmmm, nice, straight pickup cavities I believe my dad is currently converting the mill to a CNC mill Tiger Claw trem anyone?
