  1. thanks again brian, one thing i don't understand... ...when it says top routed would this be like a strat so that under the pickguard is hollow?
  2. does anyone know where i can buy a humbucker for a teleceater that fits in the existing space. i don't want to route. by the way i only want a neck pickup, i know of many suppliers of what i want but only for the bridge position. cheers
  3. does anyone know where i can buy clear acrylic bodies??
  4. wow i know fastfret is a lubricant but i've never taken it that far!!! LSHTILOABOW (laughing so hard that i let out a bit of wee)
  5. when i refinished a 3/4 size encore(cheap english entry level guitar) i found that if you do less coats of paint and varnish on the neck than the body the neck feels much better. plus the back of the neck doesn't get whacked thousands of times by a pick LOL!!!!! one more thing, if the neck is quite a tight fit into the pocket on the body you have to careful how much paint goes at that end of the neck as with mine the neck had to be sanded for it to fit it. good luck
  6. does anyone know where i can buy kits for a hollow body electric??? or even just the bodies themselves?
  7. i like medium. thick enough for pinched harmonics but thin enough to strum easily.
  8. hey, i wanted everyones opinions on what they beleive the best effect pedals are for making unusual, crazy noises. top threes maybe???
  9. hi apparently herbs such as Oats, Scullcap and Melissa can help as they treat the nervous system. you can brew them into a kind of tea (if you buy them loose) or may even find supplement tablets that contain these herbs. hope that helps
  10. thanks for the help i just hope that i don't have to adjust the truss rod. i'm scared that i might truly mess up the neck!!!!
  11. on my squier strat the tremelo always used to lay flat to the guitar but since i have changed my strings from 9's to 11's the bridge has started to lift about 1/2cm above the body. This has reduced the otherwise excellent tuning stability. what should i do???
  12. i've just found two things: one, if you crumple the foil into a ball it IMHO looks really cool. the good point is that flaws from the gluing process don't matter and the clear coat with adhere. the second point is a little less good. you can make a very cheap copy of the fender aloha aluminium strat by putting tons of glue under the foil and scribing with a blunt pencil or old biro. just some ideas, what do you think?? also, on http://www.mr-office.com you can buy rolls of metallic paper. would this be thicker than tin foil therefore reducing flaws??
  13. hi welcome to the forum. try wd or http://www.axesrus.com/ wd has some lower price products as well as every thing else. hope that helps. :uk: ps. for wood try arnold lavers. i think that they are a national chain. and from what i remember they can order most stuff for you.
  14. couldn't you use some form of spray adhesive like spray mount only much stronger. this would lower the amount of visible flaws.
  15. my two brain cells just bumped into each other and had an idea!!! for a chrome finish could you just stick aluminium foil to the body and varnish over it??? please tell me am i a genius or am i two sandwiches short of a picnic????
  16. one more thing, would the black ice cap do the job or would it be too light a distortion?
  17. thanks for the help. i don't like the ebow as i find it to be too predictable. also i have already raised the pickups and there isn't a great deal of difference if it helps any more my guitar is a squier strat (don't tell me to sell it lol)
  18. hi, i love feedback and generally disgusting noises. i was wondering if anyone has any schematics for any circuits that i could put into my guitar to make horrible noises. I like the idea of the black ice module but it would be too expensive to get to england. any help would great!!!!
