  1. 12-54!?!?!? WOWZERS! Those are heavy! Oh yea, and I forgot about neck-profiles...I hate the 'santana' wide-fat profile. I'm more or a wizard, wizardII sorta guy.
  2. Not sure about the first. But for the second question. Yes, you can buy black fingerboard stain. PRS and Gibson use it to give striped ebony fingerboards a "more uniform black appearance". Here it is. There is also a tutorial on the main site about how to 'ebonize' wood.
  3. Scroll to the second last row of guitars. If you guys have ever played one...what did it feel like? Is it significantly lighter? etc, etc...
  4. nope...its real wood. Check out the ones Brian has at universal jems. oh sorry, nevermind. Brians are WAY skinnier than what you mentioned. nice. NO no..thats exactly what i wanted. Something thin enough to just have to ...put it on...without a lot of wood working and what not (since i'm not apt in woodworking). The cutting out of the hums/etc...would be the hardest for me. thanks for that link... might endu p getting my veneer from them....depending on what home depot or whatever else i can find where i live. home depot won't have any decent veneers. At my home depot, all they have is pine, plywood and mdf.
  5. and review the event for a future Guitarist article!!!! In canada guitarist magazine costs like $17 and they only stock it at a few of the big bookstores...
  6. preferences... lo-pro/pro-edge II/original floyd bridges (all recessed) 24 fret necks HH or HSH p-up configuration rear routing angled headstocks ebony fingerboards dimarzio p-ups neck thrus 24.75" scale 10-46 strings (boomers or slinky's) uh....am I forgetting anything?

  10. Here is a link to a font creator if anybody wants to give the ibanez font a try...
  11. Just thought I'd let you guys in on a forum I found. There aren't many people on it, but looks really helpful. http://www.guitarrefinishing.com/
  12. I have just the word if you want it. What the font is I don't know.
  13. I could send you a corel drawing..... On a right handed trem, the trem rout is extended on the high E-string side of the body because the tremolo arm needs some room too.... If you'd mirror that to a leftie trem on a right handed body, you'd need the same space on the low-E side of the guitar. oh, no its allright, I have a template for strat style trems. I could just flip it over for lefty right?
  14. These things go for about $1500-$2000 around me
  15. Yup, I've seen a couple of gibson lps around here where the inlays have about 1-2 mm's of epoxy surrounding it, plus some on top of the actual pearl.
  16. I voted for the jetking. Its the one with 2 humbuckers and 2 rocker switches to coil tap them right? Its pretty cool looking.
  17. One note song! HAHAHA! Best song ever!
  18. that acoustic jem is reallly real looking
  19. yea! 13degree angled pegheads rock! I don't really like that looks of flat pegheads.
