  1. That's what I was hoping to hear thanx. I just put in one for now to test my wiring with coil tap 1st.
  2. I got this strat last month already set up. Played fine. I removed the strings to install a pup. I did nothing to alter the 6 screw whammy bridge or tuners. The tuners are where the string is placed through the top of the post instead of the side. I installed the low e string and it is right up against the fretboard, so it is totally buzzed out. What happened?
  3. You really need to replace the neck. This should help http://www.dbeweb.com/guitar/
  4. You are going have to replace the neck, or......
  5. Minnesota state se tech? Where is that Winona? Definitely take the instrument repair classes to beef up your resume. The market is real tight. Just try floating your resume around to gibby, fender ect.. If you can't get hired to by a builder. You will have to work as a sales clerk/guitar tech at Schmitt Music, or get a small business loan and start up your own shop. The guitar techs in Duluth suck!
  6. I tried touching up a little area with gibby ebony laccy marker. At first it was a little lighter than the clear coated reranch black. Then I clear coated it and the gibbo mark is now darker. Is there anyway to get rid of the gibson mark without repainting? I did some wet sanding but it didn't work.
  7. What is the best laquer to apply satin or gloss over a vinyl decal on a fender strat headstock?
  8. The guitar strings get higher as it runs down the fretboard. Does that mean the neck is warped? I took the neck off there doesn't seem anything noticable like a bow in fact seems pretty straight. I lowered the bridge and the strings still too high. So wassup with it?
  9. Well unfortunately it's underwraps but hopfully sometime after Christmas if there still a problem I'll give yah a holla. Thanks much everybody for the feedback.
  10. What was the purpose of destroying a perfectly good screaming metal body? Outside of providing a image to match the title.
  11. Are you sure about that? It looks like half your diagram is missing.
  12. I cant really hear anything but when both pups are on the push pull pot I can turn the volume on and off.
  13. Ok now can you add a push pull pot for coil tapping a 3 wire humpbucker to that please?
  14. LOL! Same here. I have a new pup and a 500k push pull pot where the bridge volume pot was. Do you have a Hamer too? http://www.guitarheads.net/ http://www.guitarelectronics.zoovy.com
  15. Ok this is the original hookup before I installed the push pull pot.
  16. Sorry the link you provided doesn't appear to show push pull pot wiring of what I have. The toggle switch is a 3 way pickup selector. The push pull pot acts as a coil tap and volume pot. The ground is solder to the push pull pot.
  17. The picture wouldn't save right. Bottom left arrow represents the push pull pot.
  18. Sorry dont have the equipment to check the the push pull pot on whether it works or not.
  19. Exactly. Wish seller listed it taht way. I have TOM and angled headstock. These rings are rear routed fender material.
