Apparently, in Great Britain all the stones are the same size and weight.....and have a great respect for tea time.
SR

Humor rhymes with tumor and humour with tumour for us who have been taught the British spelling. If you've got both, laughing through your tears helps you continue living.
@MiKro doesn't that young fellow seem to have a thing about us more mature farts? Bowing to one, mooning the other...
brittish spelling... when are those folks going to learn proper english ( hehe). also, yesterday ben crow said he was craving a fag... I'm a bit juvenile so I almost spit my coffee. kind of rude of us to have obfuscated that word.

looks like a fun project. gfs strikes again.

I also "Know Nothing" One thing I do know is I can find the answer if I need it. Either it is stored in my scatter brained mind or it is archived somewhere else. LOL!!
I don't always know nothing... but when I do... I find that I learn more! haha
seems to me the smarter you are the more you realize how much more there is to know... and that makes your own collection of knowledge... seem smaller and smaller... or so I'm told: for I know nothing!

Mike, you also have a great amount of knowledge, don't ever for get that.
Thank for your support in boosting an old mans ego as well. LMAO!!!!
MK
thank you for saying so... but "I KNOW NOTHING"! that is my strength!

my humor... some would say it's not humor at all. I meant like "what old thing are you feeling?" twas me being funny or as many call it stupid.
you are a wealth of knowledge tho and I do appreciate you sharing. I am a wealth of humor and I share all the time but people just look at me weird.

This was fun, but you are throwing entirely too much tonnage around now.
A stone is 14 lbs.
SR
wouldn't it, like... depend on the size of the stone? (not so smart now are you)

That is correct.
thank you sir. u r a wealth of knowledge.

also... people really respond to being referred to as 'you people'... I should do more of that.

An ad came today, there's salmon fillets on sale starting tomorrow. They should be pretty much boneless so your face won't get scratched.
Looking through the right type of glasses we all have our strenghts. You can play, I can look good on stage when the lights are low.
seriously made me laugh there but I feel like I should point out that I too look good in dim light. doesn't have to be stage lights tho... just dim.
salmon... well that's awfully nice of you to think of me and my face/scratch but I'm pretty sure it'd be your face taking most of the slapping... so perhaps I should find a similar deal. perhaps we just agree on monk fish? I'm told they have very soft bones. I'm pretty sure our audience is building here so perhaps we should get some promoters involved soon.
"and in this corner... from parts unknown... weighing in at 245 stones (or whatever it is you people measure weight by over there) primarily a grappler/striker... "

also lets see how many posts we can go before some lame ass posts about ot in here! haha! super epic mega derail! love it.

jeebus god man... wouldn't have guessed you are that old (offense meant)! you are in pretty good shape mentally and physically for your age... but I'll still fish slap fight you.

Can you imagine how difficult it would be to send a live trout to Texas and keep it alive during the travel? Adding animal cruelty to my list of sins isn't on my agenda. A dead trout won't suffer and if the package is well sealed the courier wouldn't either.
Thanks for calling me a millennial, makes me feel like I was your age!
millennial... that was me being funny. I have seen pictures so have proof you aren't! also I'm 46... you can't be much older if at all.

Yes the direction of the fiber.
right on. I'm assuming you want it running the length of the neck then, and preferably standing as opposed to lying down? sm as you'd want w wood?

used to have a saltwater coral tank... so oddly I know exactly how hard it is to send a live fish across the pond! not something as big as a trout tho... perhaps a baby trout.

That is what I order. They are called strips when I order them, not rods, those are a different part and round.
There are different types as well depending on the layup type for the fiber. some are better than others. need to look at uni-lateral layup.
right on... will have to remember that. I'm guessing that has to do with the direction of the fiber?

I use carbon fiber strips in my necks. 6 string guitars get a pair of 1/8" x 5/16" strips. Bass necks get 3/16" x 3/8" strips.
I noticed you were careful to say strips... see what you've done bizman!
(thanks for the reply).
have never done graphite RODS in a guitar... might have to try this at some point. My other thoughts were to build a neck with very similar specs... but go slightly wider, do a smaller radius, and use low fretwire.

Young man, you can't expect me to fully understand your strange youth lingo. Why can't you speak my language?
Re rods and strips, Crimson talk about rods but when I googled for them all were round. On the site of one vendor I noticed that they sell strips as well and they were square or rather rectangular.
"feel free to comment on things I DON"T say!" works both ways: Where in my first comment did I say "neck"? In all fairness, though, I didn't say "reinforcement" either.
All this said all this misunderstanding adds to our post count, making us more influential!
only way to solve this is a death match... via slapping. where/when?
epic necks?

yes, lets talk more about how not stiff my wood is. perhaps some sort of inflatable device (oh, no... I just can't).
