  1. so if i just do regular wiring and just leave out the ones i dont have, it will work out fine?
  2. i got me some pickups of ebay recently. i got a bridge and a neck, but the bridge PU only has 3 wires: red, white, and the bare wire. the neck has all 5. are they special pickups with special instructions? is the pickups no good? what? thanks.
  3. im doing my first wiring job somewhat soon, and i was thinking that these wiring instructions would work for all humbuckers. i want to use these, because they were the best ones i could find. so would they work for any other humbucker? thanks.

    New Band

here is mah new band. HELP SPREAD THE WORD, G!!!!!!! Corcid
  5. yo great tastes in music, and finally someone within a year my age new trivium or old trivium? (PLEASE SAY OLD PLEASE SAY OLD........ )
  6. this is just IMO. the fretboard is a little much - Stewmac finish kit - pretty much all you need is the paint (spraycans if you dont have compressor), epoxy (grainfiller, at least thats what i use), lacquer, and the sandpaper (400-600) and you could probably stand to get a cheaper bridge if its ur first project. but, you dont really have to listen to me. thats just my advice.
  7. can u send me the link? thats only for people who have donated
  8. should have known on the firebird and explorer
  9. just out of curiosity how is it that on guitars like explorers, les pauls, and firebirds they are able to get the selector switch ALL the way across the body away from the actual control cavity? like a 3 foot drill bit or something?
  10. ya, id say probably that if you really wanted to go with one of the 2. but just to be sure, look the internet for an hour or two (if it takes that long) and FIND SOME REVIEWS IF YA CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. i think i know what you are asking. you wouldnt HAVE to get one that would cut more than 3 inches at a time, but its always best to go with as much cutting room as you can on a saw. and you probably couldnt even find one that cuts less than that
  12. hey. i was just wondering in what order you do your cuts when you scarf joint. like cut the neck shape first, then the head, etc. cuz whatever i can think of it would have at least one akward cut. like having to hold something very stedily on an angle, and crap like that. thanks in advance. btw if i didnt explain it very well just say something
  13. a jackson dxmg through a line 6 spider II 212
  14. yeah, its supposed to be more curvy, but its just the general shape, not sanded or anything. it was a big bandsaw blade, so i couldnt do anything very tight.
  15. no, i didnt. sorry that it looks kinda close, but i just doodled it at school one day.
  16. check out the main site of the PG forums. it has tutorials on pretty much everything.
  17. yah, just taste. pretty much all of the electrics ive seen taper. i would imagine that tapered is a bit more comfortable. but then again, its mostly taste.
  18. oooo, you meant lengthwise on the fretboard... i feel REALLY stupid.....
  19. This. obviously it is just a rough cut piece of plywood, but you get the idea. waddaya think?
  20. dunno much about acoustics, but ive never seen any elec necks that taper all the way through. (that dosent mean that thats true) but there isnt really a uniform thickness. just make sure its not to thin, and you like the feel. my jackson is about 3/4 inch from top of board to bottom of neck. hope it helps.
  21. warmoth has a bunch of necks and stuff you can order. just get the tele neck, and tell them what inlay you want. (which is none) hope it helps.
  22. i dont really see why so many people thing string trees are ugly
