  1. Very nice work as always Hyunsu. Very clean looking guitars.
  2. Craig, fantastic as always. What do the characters mean?
  3. Iv'e only seen it with lower end flat top LP's. Floyd Rose has a LP type guitar with a FR tremolo, so I'm sure it can be done. Hope a better answer comes your way. Good luck.
  4. 1975 Ibanez Les Paul copy. Lawsuit edition and IMHO it played better, and the finish and fret work were superior to Gibson LP (and for far less money)at the time. Wish I still had at the price they sell for nowdays.
  5. Ummm! Thought it was going to help you.
  6. Does this help? Searched on google for silver leaf! gildingHere There were a few more sites on the search.
  7. Start here and read through the tutorials. This is the place to start. After you read through these; do a search function for other information. There is also places likeUSA custom guitars,Warmoth, and Uneversal Jems for kits, and parts. Hope this helps.
  8. You could do that, but it would be hard to hide the thickness of the material(sheet). If you have a router you could cut a channel just deep (probably a just few thousandths of an inch) enough for the sheet to sit on to make it flush with the top and sides of the guitar. If not you would have to build the finish as thick as the sheet. I hope this helps. Without seeing it, this is all I could come up with. Good luck.
  9. Badges are for cops, firepersons, guards, boy and girl scouts, and generally people of authority. That leaves me out!
  10. Super sweet axe and kudos for the great job.
  11. If the neck is maple than it should be sealed with a finish or it may warp.
  12. I'm almost still in, but not sure yet? Been too busy to work on mine. Got it stained black sanded back and then stained it again and never sanded it back. So no guarantees.
  13. The router bits are designed for use at high speeds. It may not reckless, but I always say use the right tool for the right job.Look here at this inexpensive router.
  14. ROXY guitar finishing is another choice. Check out this site.
  15. You can find these for $12.00 at just strings!
  16. Unfortunately the finish will not adhere to wax! Other than that I think it would look good and should be feasible.
  17. I played guitar for 10 years and then flipped flopped back and forth between an axe and bass for 15years, but last year I dropped the guitar permently.
  18. I really like it. Very original, but I would also like to know. I thought you painted each speck and droplet, but your handle is also painted and I didn't think you would waste your valuable time doing the handle.
  19. I agree with asm, but letting the newer members know about the search function is also a good thing.
  20. 6 guitars and 2 basses. Of course their playable, I work on them!
  21. Uhh! Why do you consider those Saga kits "lame"? Many people have built guitars with them and have come up with a good finished guitar. Have you played or built one before? If not how can you call the kits lame? Look Here and read a little way down and it explains what needs to be replaced.
  22. Florentine cutaways rule! I am waiting for this project to come to life. It looks like it will challenge your masterfullness. As always I'm sure it will look great.
