I like it more with the pickguard... I´m not sure yet and also I don´t know if I get some nice top or acrylic I´ll be thinking about it when I will have guitar in my workshop...

I´ve always loved musicman body & pickguard shape, so I decided to build it It has maple top now, but I want to replace it with some nicer maple or figured ash... I wanted to finish it like PRS - blue transparent top, natural binding, black back. New neck will be also slightly different. At first the headstock won´t be that small, but sized like original musicman. Neck: Maple as well but fingerboard will be Madagascar Rosewood, smaller frets, original Musicman truss rod. And almost I forgot.. I want to make a new fingerboard out of acrylic to show figured top

After some time I decided to make a new neck... this old one isn´t very good it is too pliant. I will also refinish the body, maybe also retop, transparent finish, maybe some kind of burst... It looks even better, but my camera can´t take that good picture... It´s possible that my PRS won´t be made out of this walnut, because I wanted to finish the back with black color.... Maybe the walnut would be great for my father´s new bass and I will use alder back... I don´t know yet

I just get this wood from my neigbour and I´m very satisfied with it And second side Specs will I post later, because I dont´t know how much I will spend this time on guitar I thought this walnut would be great for back of my PRS with maple top.

I´m going to refinish my guitar too, but I´m just going to sand off the color coat.. hopefully it will be good

Body is great, but I wouldn´t shape the head like body. I would just make some simple head, something like Ibanez.. Just my opinion

I forgot to tell you that I'm going to build a fiber carbon neck for it but I can't start until I receive the mechanics (bridge and, in particular, the head string locking nut). Mmmm carbon fiber... sounds interesting... I doubt I could get some carbon fiber material, or If I could it would be expensive.... Pure carbon wouldn´t be problem, but it isn´t very good for instruments.. it´s very tough, but very brittle. I´ll stay loyal to old good wood

Hmm i don´t like headless guitars... but that´s my opinion... what green will you use? Bright green like me?

Heh gladly happened... This guy lives few kilometers from me... I order parts in his webshop, pictures on his site were also helpfull to me when I was building my first guitar I´m going to see his workshop some time.. perhaps when I will be buying new parts By the way I´m going to paint the back black too to have the contrast with green.... capu, I have discovered PRS similar to yours... one of Slovak guitar builders made it... there are few diferences like pickups, it´s left-handed, it has natural back... You can find them here Sollerguitars

I'm sure you will do a nice work ! Let me know when will you start your project, I'm interested in it. Don´t be afraid, I will make new topic... I´m not sure when I will begin building, because I have no money for now but there´s some wood for me for free I´ll try cut the body and neck on CNC machine, but I have some problems with planing the carve top... My prs body will be made out of walnut/maple same as neck - walnut/maple laminates...
