  1. Very nice and clean work! How are you going to finish it? What color?
  2. Love this pic The body looks really thin to me, how thick is it? I like your builds
  3. I´m lovin it!! That inlay is great! I am bulding a hollowbody prs too, but it will be PRS singlecut.. Good luck with it
  4. I would make it a little more amber-ish and less of that red burst
  5. OK maybe you´re right, but I like the natural look of the q-maple
  6. hmm the middle one burst looks very cool.. the dark one won´t show the grain very well
  7. I also entered GOTM, but you have my vote
  8. Isn´t it too heavy? Besides that it looks really, really good
  9. So, after a long time playing, upgrading and polishing this beauty, I´ve decided to try a GOTM entry. It is inspired by Music Mans with some custom details on it. Hope you like it SPECS: NECK: One piece slightly flamed maple neck with Indian Rosewood fingerboard, 12" radius. Two way truss-rod, Gotoh tuners. BODY: Ash top over basswood body Electronics: EMG´s H4 & H4A, Gotoh volume and tone pot 25k, Gotoh three way switch Finish: Nitrocellulose lacquer And some pics finally: It took me about 6 months to make it playable, but it was worth it
  10. Glad to hear about neighbours on this forum I guess you´ve ordered woods from some Hungarian shop...
  11. hey there... very nice work ya have out there... may I ask where are you from? because I´ve ordered from sollerguitars too...
  12. Sorry I haven´t noticed that pic Why have you decided to go for a bolt on? I´d rather go for set neck... with 8 string neck you could carve the neck joint and have better access to upper frets... just my opinion, what do you think about that?
  13. hey ngaa! Love the look of all that dark wood. is that alder as dark as in the picture? What kind of headstock are you using for this build?
  14. I think it doesn´t matter... bound or unbound fretboard... I don´t care, but important is how will the guitar look like when it´s finished. this one should turn out great
  15. This guitar looks very interesting to me... Looking forward to see some progress
  16. Wow! That looks amazing! it´s really nice congrats
  17. Thanks for all your posts and advices... the were very helpful Now I´ve got some better pics for ya Photo1 Photo2 Photo3 Photo4 Stupid dust!! It´s everywhere!!!
  18. And here are some photos for you Photo1 Photo2 Not the best shots, but tomorrow I´ll try to make some better photos..
  19. Thanks... yes I´m very pleased with how it turned out I wasn´t expecting such a great finish for this one. Today I´ve finished it
  20. It won´t ruin anything. You have to stain before grainfilling, because the filler will close the pores of the wood, so the stain wouldn´t soak up into the wood.
  21. So after some time I´m bringing you some update. The body is completely finished and also polished You can see out through my window Top shot Back shot Back shine Another back shine
  22. Thanks And I have no clue For me it´s just a language gap BTW for trained eyes: there are no pickup ring holes nor pickguard holes, because I´m mounting the pickups directly to body...
  23. After I´ve been worried about the color, now I´m completely amazed with the result... it looks just great. Couldn´t be better Today I have sanded the stain for a little bit and grainfilled the ash
