  2. yup ive got the paper soaking right now lol......gota find a good clear though. i had this random laquer lying around and a couple cans worth so i tried ti out on some test scraps and it jsut amde the paint peel it was horribel lol....like salt on a slug
  3. i might be interested...how much woudl shipping be on sometihng leik this?
  4. Iven been refinnishing my jackson RRV EX Pro for a lil bit now and ive finally made some good progress nad since my sis got a new digital camera i took some pics and finally decided to post some of them...i just pulled the masking tape off abotu 30 minutes ago. All of the pics ive taken can be found here at my DeviantArt page ill continue to post the pics there so if ppl want to keep up to date on whats goin on they can jsut check there so wat do you guys think
  5. ya 15 watt tube is plenty.....im just looking for soemithng small that i can playa roudn with plus the it has to be physically small so i can stuff it in the old radio body lol butya i mean im looking to make more aof a playabel conversation peice hence why i was thinkin of the ax84 kits ive heard good things abotu them adn they soudn nice .....i just noticed i hadt postedthe ebay link
  6. i guess that would work but are you plannign on doing this to an aleady existing guitar, one youre planning to build, or justthrowing the idea out there. LPs generally are made with a cap so chambering isnt really and isue there........as far as the tele goes i belive you could do this but unless the guitar is being made form scratch your gonna need to put in some thin peices of wood to repalce what you take away even with a thin blade
  7. laot of chepo guitars are amde of plywood....my samick pdass was amde out plywood and i love it lol
  8. Wich screww is it? if its a screw for astrap buttom a few ppl have suggested fill the hole with wood glue adn a toothpick and that allows for enough grip. If it is for a cavity cover you may be able to get away with just fillign the hole with a lil glue letting it dry them putting the screw right back in....i would suggest super glue for thisitll harden the surrounding wood so you wont have this probelm agian.
  9. i just foundthis on ebay andthought it might be good for the project andeasier on the wallet anybody have an opinion on it
  10. thanks wes thats great....hmmm im thinkin maybe a ax84 hi octane that seems liek it would be pretty nice...granted i nedd to get the funds for it first lol
  11. i think he may be confused with the new Speedlaoder system.....that is a lil diffren then the headless system tho....the speedlaoder relies only on fine tuners hence why you need special strings...the system used on hohners i belive uses normal strings and the tuners are just on the bottom of the gutiar
  12. well if your looking for something cheap adn easy woudlnt it make sense to just get a 2 part expoxy that dries clear or white then jsut add some kind of dye or tint to get ti to your desired color....if you had a clear expoxy your could ad glitter or something to give it depth.
  13. how much would shipping be on the ibanez? dam though i dont thinkid ever let a women get between me and my projects leik this.....especially if i had jsut gotten her a bloody Ipod.....not to sound mean but i think your shoudl put her up for auction adn keep the ggear....lol thatll give all the money you need adn plenty of free tiem too
  14. eh lil too much on a used item thats dinged up etc im relalyjust lookin for a guitar to strip for parts for a prototype im making
  15. ive been searching ebay but does anybody know of a palce that sells tube amps already constructed that just require a case adns speaker? It seems liek a long shot but if there is a palce or anyone who has a lil amp liek that it woudl be a great help
  16. I recently found an old RCA radio http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/14707605/ The first thing I thought when i saw it it was how cool of a little amp it would make, so heres my idea. -Clean it up -Maybe re-cloth the grill on it -Gut the insides entirely -Swap out the guts of a small practice amp I was also thinking it woudl be great to put in a smalltube amp 5-10 watts so i could crank it and overdrive the tubes and not ahve an outrageously loud sound. Now if i got a small tube amp unit that was p2p i could easily move the pots to the preexisting holes, but if i get an amp where the pots are soldered to a board it may notwork out. Would it be possibel to desolder pots from a baord thensolder wries in its palce running to the corresponding lugs on the pot? I ithnk this woudl be a awesome lookin amp and a interesting conversation peice.
  17. use photobucket or someithng else cuz that oneobviously isnt letting us see the pics lol
  18. the link doesnt work...you gotta makethem public or something lik that
  19. do you have any better pics of the guitar and some more spevs would be nice
  20. lol so at this point it seems leik pretty much everypickup has been recommended
  21. Actually Dimebag had a Bill Lawrence L500xl...then SD made his signature dimebucker modeled after the L500....Coicedently the L500xl is one of my favorite pickups it defintiely screams, nad it come in 4 varietes from clean to extra lead so ida say throw a coupel of L500s in your rig ....alot of soudns can be had wit this pickup you just need to play around with the tone knob
  22. i personally kinda doubt ppl would buy em for 200...maybe 150 and thast with a custom paintjob...but i may be wrong but i personally wouldnt buy a guitar form some eprson who ive never met before and whose experience i know very little about
  23. I know there are spray apints with a very very fine flake like even finer then glitter, i believe by krylon...ive used the blue and its really nice..soo that might be an option
