krazyderek Posted August 11, 2004 Report Share Posted August 11, 2004 strip the finish, there'll still be a bit of a bevel, put the veneer on anyways, then trim it down with a exacto, and then sand the remaining amount down to match that bevel stain and fade the edges to hide the glue line Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Maiden69 Posted August 11, 2004 Report Share Posted August 11, 2004 Just like krazyderek said, the only thing I would add is to use sanding sealer on the edges were the venner end so that the joint will smooth out with out running the chance of ripping the veneer ( they are incredibly thin).
