southpaw rocker
does anybody know what the difference(s) between a Dinky and a soloist are? just a unimportant question but it's bugging me.
amdmonster
soloist are neck-thrus and dinky are bolt on necks, and i beleive pickups are different. now the dinky 2 (dk2) is alot different its cheaper, has different tremolo, and pickups then the others. Simo
I think I'm right in saying that the Dinky also has a smaller body, hence the name.
litchfield
The dinky is smaller than a strat, thats where the name comes from
camcool
I think I would go with the soloist as it is probably better quality I think jackson uses seymour duncan pickups in the soloist too If you do get a soloist get one with a carved top they look the sweetest
litchfield
SL2 Customs ROCK However, the high end dinky is just as good as the soloist. After the Fender takeover, I saw a drop in quality. Especially on the omports, and a price hike on the USAs
southpaw rocker
fender is like a disease, they take over everything. They even own Sperzel, but do you see sperzels on strats and stuff? (not to my knowledge)
