silvertonessuckbutigotone
I have some pots from my EMG's left over, and I was wondering if it would be possible to use them on passive pickups? any advice or answers would be appreciated
lovekraft
If they're standard EMG pots, they'll have too low an impedance to play well with passive pickups, and you'll lose a lot of highs, and a lot of level. I'd strongly advise against it.
MikeB
i did this because i had no pots, which i remedied, it sounded totally crap! dont use these, no volume at all!
Stalefish
If I'm not wrong, those pots'll have a very different (can't remember if it's low or hi) resistance value.. It'll muck with your sound quite a bit so I'll add a third vote to "Don't do it"..
