Kevan
Hey folks! I'm not sure if you guys know this or not, but I co-design the guitars for Favored Nations artist, Rob Balducci. Rob and I have been friends for many years, and I think as a team we've come up with some great, hard-working, slick-sounding, smooth-playing designs. Check out the Gear pages on RobBalducci.com. We've done the BAL-7 (2000) and the LIBRA (2003). Props must go out to the crazy luthiers at the Ibanez LA Custom Shop for just nodding and saying "ok" to the final build sheets. :-) Now, we're working on a new guitar for Rob. A new color too! That's where you folks come in. We're going to try to do a "Lime Burst" over a 4A quilted maple top. Center of the guitar body is au natural, and the edges are Lime-ish green stain (not black). I'm going to do some checking around as well, but if you folks know of any LINKS to some sweet looking Lime Burst guitars that we can send to the LACS as a "kinda like this" pic, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I look forward to seeing what you guys link to. I think we'll come up with some sweet ones- since we only have 3000+ people looking around the 'net. www
Something like this???
Kevan
Yeah....not too bad. A bigger area of natural between the pickups and it's a winner. Nice shot, WWW. Too bad about where it's at. LOL
www
Sorry Kevan, that is all my search came up with. I knew you couldn't resist a comment about the site. Edit: Look at jetguitars.com, scroll down to the "colors" and there is a couple that might interest you. Also at Ed R's site (if you type jet guitars in google) there is a gallery of JET guitars and there is one more in there. That is all I could find. Gnome
Not really "lime" but green nonetheless: http://www.timtone.com/gallery/images/RJHiRezHalfFace.jpg
GuitarMaestro
Props must go out to the crazy luthiers at the Ibanez LA Custom Shop for just nodding and saying "ok" to the final build sheets. :-) Why? While looking very nice the two guitars you linked to look like common Universe Guitars with different top wood/finish/inlays....whats special about them? Different scale length? While looking very nice the two guitars you linked to look like common Universe Guitars with different top wood/finish/inlays....whats special about them? Different scale length? Well, first off, one is a 6 string, and the other is a 7. And Letter B, they charge $0.00 (with case and shipping). Props indeed.
skibum5545
http://www.jetguitars.com/graphics/G1.jpg The JET color sample. ocean green, technically, but green nonetheless!
Drak
I like that green ski. I like greens that have a good amount of yellow in them, not so much the very dark greens.

darren wilson
Just so it's documented... Here's my "Sour Appleburst" finish mockup for LGM. I originally called it "Boogerburst", but i think the new name suits it better.
Kevan
Darren- I showed Rob the "sour apple". It's SO CLOSE to what he's got in his head. Lose the black around the outter edge, and leave a little more 'natural' in the center....and it's done. Might have to ask the LACS if LGM can do the finish. Or have you do a photoflame for it. :-) Thanks!
Drak
Sheite!! That mockup is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Darren, I might have to steal that color scheme if I can get it tweaked out. Man, that is REALLY nice! You can lose the black for Rob, but I love it -just- as it is. Man, I'm just sitting here staring at it with my jaw dropped, how the hell did you come up with that? I rarely get exited about colors much, but that there is a tremendously appealing color application, I am -completely- digging it. That has to be one of the prettiest green guitars I've ever seen. And Sourburst is a -PERFECT- name for it!
Kevan
TANGENT ALERT! Drak- then you don't want to click this: http://www.lgmguitars.com/images/guitars/l..._kryptonite.jpg ....or this.... http://www.lgmguitars.com/images/guitars/l...n_koa_ebony.jpg ....or this.... http://www.lgmguitars.com/images/guitars/l...t_fireburst.jpg .....or this.... http://www.lgmguitars.com/images/guitars/l..._plasma_red.jpg ....or this.... http://www.lgmguitars.com/images/guitars/l..._caribburst.jpg ...or even this one (my favorite): http://www.lgmguitars.com/images/guitars/l...urst_bocote.jpg Darren does some kickazz work. I can't wait for LGM to bring them to life. I'm sure we'll all be hearing lots more about these in the future, so let's not post about them here. I just wanted you guys to get a little sneaky-peeky. Now, back to the Lime Burst/Sour Apple Burst pics....
darren wilson
A little less dark around the edges, a little more open in the middle, and green/cream zebra pickups. http://www.lgmguitars.com/images/guitars/l...ducci_burst.jpg
www
Wow! Beeeeutifuull! The Leviathan is one of the sweetest designs I've ever seen. In any color combo.
