silvertonessuckbutigotone
me and a freind are disputing this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3773565398&rd=1 He thinks its a veneer, while I say its a cap. His reasons are 1. It would take Fender too long to soak and bend a cap 2. It looks too thin to be a cap. My reasons 1. It looks about 1/4" to me 2. Fender Custom Shop wouldn't use a ceneer especially on a completely transparent guitar 3. If it was a veneer the veneer seam would be a LOT closer to the inside of the body due to the curved out edges.
darren wilson
It looks about as thick as the roundover on the top, so yeah, i'd agree that it's at least 1/8" to 1/4" thick, which is too thick to be veneer.

Ditto. You can't see mahogany from the top, so it's gotta be at least 1/4".
