agentsvr
This is the first guitar a friend of mine made. He doesn't know a thing about guitars and i am trying to help him correct some mistakes. (Some of them i noticed already but would like to hear your opinions...) DannoG
Well just to have made an acoustic is an acomplishment, but I can see afew things right off. The frets look to have no crown on them. The one dot on the fretboard that is in a closeup is not flush - it would bind on a bend. And the saddle doesn't seem to be compensating for intonation needs. Not sure what else, the back of the neck heel looks ragged, but the photos aren't very clear. Hope that isn't too critical. If he keeps at it he could improve. Good luck. monkey69962000
The headstock, the tunners are not spaced evenly.
american_jesus
frets dont look straight either.... the neck looks a little rough on the sides...doesn't look smooth...might be the picutres tho. the glue seams seem shoddy too...doesn't look like the top's going to hold on for long...not with steel strings anyways... Bill-Murray
What's a crown on a fret?? Uhh, I saw his cutaway was on the wrong side, and the finish kinda sucks.. Plus the inlay thing. I don't know crap about frets....
CudBucket
If that's a first attempt at an acoustic, then I'd say good job. Most of the issues brought up here can be addressed rather simply.
CGHbuilder86
The braces on the inside of the back are not carved, and since the frets are not crowned it’s going to play crappy. My advice is for him to get a good book like: A Guitarmakers Manuel by Jim Williams, and his next guitar will be much better.
hyunsu
good job.. every one dont do perfect, first time.. but your pasion is enough .. not important result... what kind of wood for top? in acoustic guitar.. top material is really important.. but your material is diffrent.. next time you will make better than this work.. good luck..
