t1r12003
I'm making a neck through guitar using a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and black limba (korina) body. What looks better, leave the maple plain and have a contrast in wood or stain the maple darker so it's at least closer to the color of the dark korina wood? Mattia
Depends on the overall scheme of things. I'd probably leave it alone, but I tend to like natural woods, and maple/limba is a nice contrast.
jmrentis
Bocote might go well as a fretboard with the maple neck too, depending on what your pieces look like. I really would like to work with some limba next time, I have heard some many good things about it, and it looks good. Good luck man.
