egdeltar
I definately like the version that is a bit more pulled in. This last drawing is almost on the money, possibly make the lower horn a bit less wonky and you got it I think.

egdeltar
Mailman, sorry but I think you have taken the body all together in the wrong direction. It doesnt look right at all anymore to me.

Slabbefusk
I think you should go with the original its gonna turn into a BCR Beast any minute now.

basey
well, I had one more idea this morning. I'm not really sure about it. It kinda looks like a modified V. But it also sorta looks like a rubber chicken
egdeltar
Actually I really like that one! The new design of the horns drastically makes it look less BCR Beast looking!
Redstein
This is a game I find hard to resist The part of the original design I liked best is the rear upper bout, so... It needs a bit more work, but you get the idea
basey
that's a nice one. not really what I was going for. but definately metal looking. It would make a nice lead guitar, I think.

Pr3Va1L
I really see that guitar as a thinline A/E guitar! Would really look killer !! Edited October 3, 2005 by Pr3Va1L
basey
I'd like to thank everybody who gave they're input. You guys really helped me out. But I think I'm going with the last one. So I guess I should call it "The Rubber Chicken Wing" Anyway, I think It's going to flow really nice with a four string neck Here's the patterns layed out on the mohagany (talk about a close one!) skibum5545
Actually, I really like the look of the holes in the body. It takes an otherwise relatively standard metal shape, and adds a degree of intrigue not normally seen in metal (or any, really) basses. Just my $.02. mailman
i like the holes my favorite is the chicken wing one....but i dont like the chicken wing! maybe make it sharper, like a harpoon?
basey
Well, I made a little progress this week. the three piece neck is laminated with macassar ebony veneer in between the birdseye maple. The body wings are shaped roughly out of 9/4 african mohagany. the wood is that thick in order carve them into a convex shape. The bass body should be about 1 5/8" thick after carving. Here's some new pics. pic 2 pic 3 pic 4 pic 5 pic
