cerealk
Thanks Brian The body arrived today and looks great! I will post a follow-up to this when I have finished the body and assembled it!
Chris
Thanks for that tutorial. That is perfect timing because I was wanting to convert the 470 I will use for the material finish to a hard tail since the trem is no good on it anyway. Futuro-custom
Yay! What a "welcome back present"! i messed up my wrists and couldnt play guitar or use the PC for a while. The first time I come to this forum, i see this! Just what I'm looking for! Thanks Brian. Joe
Speedy McFeely
it should be a heck of a lot easier on a strat with a non-recessed trem, i think i'll give it a go. i love strats, but the fender vintage style trem is bogus. this is going to rule! 86barettaguy
What effect would this have on tone btw? I mean, if you were to do this on a 5-piece body you would suddenly have a 7-piece body... maybe the effect would be larger on a 1 or 2-piece body? And if you don't know what wood was used to make the body, what wood would you use? maybe if I do a deeper rout I can restore the trem cavity on my guitar using only one piece of wood... it's worth thinking about... Brian
Thats a good point and I always try to use an equal to or denser wood then the original body.
Chris
I was just looking through my PG Intense Rock II book and saw a pic of him playing with a drill. In the pic I noticed that he had taken out the FR Bridge and just placed a fix bridge down in the trem cavity.
