Brian
Here you go folks I know it isn't something everyone needs but it would come in handy if you get in a pinch with the wrong trem because it is reversable Yes you can convert a lefty to a righty
the third eye
cool, same guitar as the trs to lo pro tutorial i see what exactly is that guitar?

86barettaguy
these last tutorials have been really good. short and with nice pics. gotta like that. so, are there any plans for a "how to install a floyd rose trem in a guitar routed for a fender trem" tutorial? feylya
Shame I hadn't known you were looking for one. I just did it (badly) on an Epiphone strat that had a two post standard trem on it.
LGM Guitars
Brian, where do you get the left hand edge trem bars? I will be doing a lefty UV for a customer and that is the one part I haven't found, I was just going to heat and rebend a regular one, but do you know of a source of left hand ones? Has Ibanez ever actually built a left hand edge with bar?
Brian
Yes I order them in through VWall Guitars
DirtyBird
How did you manage to get the old hole filled in with the "JB Weld" stuff and get it to match the gold plating? I've heard of JB Weld but I have no experience with it, does it dry golden or something? It seems like your last picture of the trem shows it completely blending in with the rest of it. I'm amazed at how perfectly color matched and smooth it is.... How'd you manage that? Looks great!
Brian
I placed a piece of tape over the top (really level) and filled from the back as shown in the tutorial. After it dried I pealed the tape off and made sure the top was flush by doing a little sanding then added a piece of gold chrome tape over the old hole (also in the tutorial).
