DracWell Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I'm replacing my RG7620 neck with the neck from an RG7321. Now since the new neck don't have a nut lock would some Sperzel Tuners solve this problem with good result? Quote
VanKirk Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Yes. I've used Sperzels for several years and find that they are as effective as a locking nut and are much more convenient when string changing & tuning. If the new neck already has tuner holes drilled you need to check the size of the hole to make sure the Sperzels will fit. Quote
javacody Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 If they don't, a tapered reamer should fit the issue pretty easily. Quote
Mickguard Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 It's a tool that lets you open up a hole to a certain diameter. But if you're not fixated on the Sprerzels (assuming they don't fit the existing tuner holes) then there are other locking tuners out there that might. Quote
soapbarstrat Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Let's see, you'll have a floyd bridge still, so you could do the trick of having the ball ends of the strings at the tuners, so that can help solve some tuning problems, right ? I mean no wraps going around the post, is *almost* the same as locking tuners. Quote
BLADE RH4 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 I'd just get the sperzels. they're a cinch to fit even if you do have to ream the holes. Quote
