Brian
Welcome cartersymes you've found the right place with plenty of people to help By the way, don't be sad we all had to start somewhere If you want to start from scratch building your own body a Router and a Saw which can cut through a thick plank of wood will be your first two tools to acquire. I've seen people take their time and cut out a body shape with something as simple as a Jig saw and as complex as a CNC machine. Personally I use a Band saw but that might be to expense for you depending on your budjet. Please feel free to ask any question because thats what this site and forum are all about. Brian
Sure but you'll have to pay shipping both ways
moojiefulagin
Yeah, a bandsaw is key. You'll also need a dremel router and a stationary router. Once you have those there are about a million specialty tools you could get into if you wanted.
krazyderek
i've never owned a bandsaw in my life but... ya a router is pretty usefull.. actually necessary. theoretically u could make then entire body with a router, a template and some double sided tape.... with the right bits that is.. westhemann
i use a jigsaw.only thing is you have to leave a liittle bit extra around the body because a jigsaw tends to cut a little out of square.that's where my bench disc/belt sander comes in handy.one thing i don't have that i wish i did?spindle sander.
