jaycee
I need a 25mm deep selector switch may be able to go to 27mm or does any one have any ideas bout modifying another typr of switch, or even a slider switch?
Setch
Is this for a very thin body? SG switches are lower profile than LP style, but I don't know if they're *that* low profile!
jaycee
The body is 30 - 33mm thick with a strat pick guard I dont mind modding the pickguard just as long as I can get a switch in there. Justin G.E.
Stewart MacDonald Right-Angle 3-Way This may work.
jaycee
I did have a look at this but it says in part of its description "and for other 2 pickup guitars" would this work on a 3 pickup guitar. I am new to electrics therefore I don't know much on the electronics side of it.
Nitefly SA
how many positions equals how many possibilities, as in if you only use 3 positions any way you only need a 3 way switch.
Justin G.E.
Having a 3-way selector for a 3 pickup guitar may not be ideal considering you would have to sacrifice some switching possibilities, unless of course you used push/pull pots which would give you more options. What is your setup? Is it two singlecoils and a humbucker?
jaycee
I am not to sure what type of pick ups they are I got them of ebay until I can afford a decent set. There are 3 pickups 1 volume 1 tone and a 5 way selector switch . All came pre-wired, the pickups are peavy if that helps
Robert_the_damned
maybe a rotary switch? like one of these? I know the 5 way is to tall (33.34mm depth) but you could remove the bottom waffer (reducing it to a 2 pole 5 way) and would probably make it short enough....or you could buy the 6 way and have an extra pickup option! or you could go for individual selector switches for each pickup which is a lot of wiring but can be quite useful.
