daveq
What do you use for cutting pearl inlays out of blanks? I've read that some people use a jewelers saw but I really don't want to buy any more significantly priced tools. Is there anything else that would work? daveq
OK, I see there are some hack-saw - like versions of a jewelers saw - pretty cheap. I guess I just have to find a place that sells them now. The first jewelers saws I found on the web looked like professional versions (looked like a scroll saw) - looked too expensive. Drak
If you are cutting real pearl blanks, please wear a respirator. Pearl dust is -deadly- so I've read from pro pearl cutters...not immediately lethal, but assuredly deadly down the road...
budman68
Agreed! Don't forget the respirator no matter how insignificant it seems! The pearl will not break down in your system....... Dave->
