Simo
Long time, no update! I've decided to use Rustin's Plastic Coating for the body, which will be buffed to a satin finish. After over 2 years in the making it felt good to get the 1st coat on today! A friend of mine is working on a headstock logo for me (thanks Gaz!) so I'll have to wait until that's finished before the neck can be done. Here's some pics... Bryan316
Oh god... oh god please.... PLEASE tell me you've got a spotlight shining on that to make the wood grain pop like that, and that it didn't just naturally turn cat's eye BEAUTIFUL by just putting that coating on??? NOOOOOT FAAAAAIR!!!
Simo
I did use flash on that picture, so it's a little bright... but yes, it really does pop I'll take some better pictures when I do the next coat.

Simo
After a few thin coats of RPC and some rubbing down with some 0000 wire wool, I applied several coats of beeswax polish. The finish is very smooth & silky, I'd be lying if I said it was perfect but as my experience is lacking when it comes to finishing, I'm pleased with the final result. The neck will get the same treatment, I'm just waiting for the headstock logo. I'll take some better pictures when it's complete...
Prostheta
I like the body shape a lot - very elegant in shape without being overstated. Very much like how the Ibanez SRX works, with a nicer curve between the horns. I have to admit that I like RPC a lot now. Very forgiving stuff. SoundAt11
Wow! Who knew the mahogany would pop out like that? How does it sound unplugged? Is the neck holding up strong?
Simo
Wow! Who knew the mahogany would pop out like that? How does it sound unplugged? Is the neck holding up strong? The neck still hasn't been lacquered, I'm waiting until my current build (5 string bass) is ready for finishing, so I can do them together. I did have it strung up for a test fit, and the unplugged tone was very nice.
