Marco Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I don't know if someone already posted it but I think is a very interesting video about the recreation of Clapton's Crossroads 335 and maybe you'll be interested... Here's the link: Link Quote
Acousticraft Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I thought after they took scans and moulds of the neck they would be shaping it on some CNC machine but then they shaped it by hand. I kinda thought a lot of the processes would have been more high tech than they actually are. A great video though. Quote
Marco Posted December 2, 2006 Author Report Posted December 2, 2006 Amazing, isn't it? But I wonder, how do they paint guitars with the binding already installed? I Tought they would paint the body, install the binding and then clear coat... Quote
Nitefly SA Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Usually they install the binding then paint then scrape the paint off of the binding then clear. Quote
