PigeonHead
From the tutorials I have found I get the impression I just route a caverty down my neck and put the truss rod in then put the fretboard on top. Is this true? Will this not rip my fretboard off if I tighten the truss rod?
goat
Yes,its true. If the glue wasn`t strong enough,The string tension alone would rip your guitar apart. just make sure you let it dry first!
krazyderek
lol, nice goat.... you got it right, wood glue is pretty strong though, but you have to do it right... which means clamping the joints while it sets
PigeonHead
Maybe its time to invest in some clamps!
Brian
And use enough glue to put a nice line up and down each side but don't try to pile it on so much that your squeezing it out when the clamps hit. I recently put to much glue on a fret board and it took a few weeks before it settled and became stable.
