snipes2222
Hey guys I was wondering if any of you have used rosewood for a neck,I recently bought a rosewood neck blank from LMI(props to westheman for showing me an awsome source for wood)and I plan to build a black walnut body to go with it.Im not sure what a whole walnut body will sound like but it should be intresting to find out!Anyway if any of you have used it I would much appreciate your comments. erikbojerik
Check out past GOTM vote threads; I know someone had an LP with a rosewood set neck and contoured heel that was very nice.
Supernova9
A simple search brings up: http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...l=rosewood+neck http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...l=rosewood+neck http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...l=rosewood+neck http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...l=rosewood+neck http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...l=rosewood+neck The last two are by David Myka, and real top quality builds. Daniel Sorbera
My first guitar had a cocobolo (a type of rosewood) neck and it's awesome.

Briscriggs
Your guitar looks amazing! Just curious what type of rosewood it was? Looks like indian? Do you find you have really good sustain?I recently got given an old brazilian couch from the 60's it was loaded with rosewood. I cut it and it had nice smell to it. I later did some research and found that it was santo's rosewood, i was hoping brazilian, but not so lucky. Anyway it's still a beatiful wood dense coloured and vary stable. Maybe I'll make my next neck out of it. Anyway good on yeah cheer's Chris.
