Lefty
So there's a stash of cans and sprays in my basement. I grabbed some ones that looked good and snapped a pic What should I go with? I just want a natural finish.

BNichols
oh ok. i wasnt sure how the white got in there. otherwise i would test on a few scraps of wood. maybe someone with more experience would know whats best to use. i can also point you to a thread started about the can on the right. Lefty
Ok, I'm gonna give it a few layers of the polyurethane spray. I'm gonna take of the strings and hardware and stuff. Should I spray the fretboard (rosewood) too? The frets are glued on by superglue, will the polyurethane mess with that?
pmarlin
mask off the fretboard.
Daniel Sorbera
Yeah you want to mask off the fretboard. Out of those products I'd go with the minwax spray poly. Many people have had decent results with it.
Lefty
The sides of the guitar have really cool burn marks because the saw I used was kinda dull. Has anyone ever taken a blow-torch to their guitar for a nice burnt finish?

Has anyone ever taken a blow-torch to their guitar for a nice burnt finish? Why didn't you sand the burn marks off?`And there's a tutorial on burnt finish on the main site as well...
