pdizzle
Hey everyone, I want to cut an f-hole into my strat(dont worry, its just a knock-off). I wanted to know if there is any kind of diagram or template online for an f-hole or should I just head down to GC and get some paper and trace one? Thanx, Patrick
Rick500
Or find a relatively face-on pic of one you like, scale it, print it, and use it to make a template.
pdizzle
how do I know what size to scale it too though?
Rick500
Well, it's just decorative so you can make it pretty much whatever size looks good. The one in my Carvin AE185 is about 5" or so.
dude
A hollowbody/chambered strat? Cool.
ihocky2
It sounds like you have a strat knock off that you want to cut this into. F-Holes are used in chambered or hollow bodies. So adding one to a solid body is going to look really bad.

I like it, looks pretty sweet. http://www.celebrityrockstarguitars.com/ro...PaulGilbert.jpg There's a pretty decent f-hole pic to use as reference for size/scale/position. CrazyManAndy
Here ya go: I can't remember who gave it to me, but it was somebody on this forum. So credit goes to them, whoever it is. CMA
