killemall8 Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 rout out the inlays. but you will have to refret it. no, there is no way around that. you can get the inlays here in the colors it shows: inlays that is going to be your best bet. Quote

Daniel Sorbera Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 Generally when someone offers you help you don't respond with a short "well that sucks". Now, what about it sucks? and how can we help you? Inlay work is not easy, or cheap. It takes practice and lots of time. Quote
dimefan90 Posted March 8, 2008 Author Report Posted March 8, 2008 (edited) sorry i meant that it sucks that i would have to refret. thats pretty much all i wanted to know. thanks Edited March 8, 2008 by dimefan90 Quote
ihocky2 Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 You don't have to refret, it is not that hard to do without removing the frets, it just takes a little more patience. Here is a link to one changing from MOTO to Mother of Pearl on a Jackson. You would do the same basic idea, except different shapes and using a few other techniques. The first link is to the Jackson replacement, the second is to a tutorial on the Project Guitar page that will let you get the colors you want. http://slackersforum.servebeer.com/moto2mop/inlay2.html http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/3dinlay1.htm Quote
