zeppelinchld
i just finished my woodshop project from the past school year and i think it turned out pretty good maple body and rosewood fretboard with maple fret markers

WAK Guitars
Thats one of the coolest lap steels I've ever seen. Congrats!
ihocky2
I love the design. Nice work. One question, is it me or does either the bridge plate or the pickup look crooked.
zeppelinchld
ya sadly the pickup cavity is a little crooked and my fretboard is off a little but u cant really tell without the strings
ihocky2
The fretboard looks just fine to me. I just wasn't sure if you angled the entire bridge plate to compensate for the intonation is if anything shifted. Any way, it is still a great looking piece. Tim37
cool build keep it up the fretboard being off isn't noticable in the pics and if you arnt happy with the pick up find a thin piece of wood and make a pick gaurd that will take care of that. GregP
ihocky: Don't have to compensate the bridge on a slide instrument. Great looking little steel. There are a few minor cosmetic touches that would bring it to the next level, but it's a heck of a good project. Hook up the electronics and string'er up! The pickup/pickup ring along with the improperly-spaced fret markers are the only things that really pop out at me. The rest is mainly personal preference stuff.
