decadentjon
Still in the process of setting up a workshop in my back shed but i've managed to get a couple guitars done in the last week and half. The brown model is a commission for a good friend, the natural swamp ash is a donation for a competition at a local radio station that does a lot of good stuff for the local music scene. there are build progress pics up at www.myspace.com/2012guitars alder body, maple neck/fb, 25.5" scale, 22 frets (ss fretwire), tonerider pure vintage pickups, vintage trem, 5way, vol, tone, grover tuners, danish oil then waxed finish. Walmslap
Classy work. Are you inlaying that headstock?
decadentjon
thanks. the headstocks wont be inlayed unless requested on the more basic models, i dig the look, its pretty subtle. and for more pictures... and another build i got started on a couple days ago: single cut shape, swamp ash body, indian rosewood neck/fretboard, deeeeep neck tenon (but bolt on still), joe barden tele bridge, sd alnico 2 tele set, grover tuners, body will be finished in a glossy transparent charcoal/black. Walmslap
Pic 2 in the second set looks like the pick guard was carbon fiber a little. A nice carbon weave would kill on that one
killemall8
i hate tele headstocks with a passion. to me they are the ugliest guitar related thing ever. but your work is great, very clean. i like that rosewood neck a lot.
Razortalon
i must agree, i dislike tele headstocks. Great craftsmanship though! edit: sorry for the necropost, if it counts as one, I didn't notice it was a somewhat old thread until after I posted...
