No. Wood filler is to fill voids and defects, whereas grain filler is designed to fill in much smaller "gaps", ie. woods natural pores. Thinned wood filler might achieve the results of a grain filler, although as each has a different purpose behind its design and formulation your mileage may vary.

You can only try it on scrap!
