jessejames Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Hey all. Just wanted to introduce myself. I plan on doing my very first guitar build and was wondering if you could suggest some books or otherwise to help me along my way? I plan on buy templates to help out as well. Also, would a 9" bandsaw be good enough to get my rough design cuts done? Then follow through with the template and router? I designed a guitar, and had a prototype built. But I plan on building them myself from now on after I get an initial grasp on building a guitar and how to set necks. Quote
E Squared Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I'm not sure if this will help you much, but I've referred to it quite a bit. dafguitars.com Quote
jessejames Posted June 18, 2010 Author Report Posted June 18, 2010 It did, but Im trying to learn about setting neck angles and such. Doesn't seem to be too difficult however, since i plan on doing a set neck over a bolt on. Where do you guys buy your body and neck woods from? I checked e-bay but I'm looking for a 1 pc neck blank instead of something you have to put a heel joint on. Quote
