FireFly
Hi! One of my friends (Kyle) bought an acoustic as a fixer-upper off of E-Bay for $30. It sat in his closet in a flight case for 3 months. Then I met his girlfriend, and through her, met him, and he figured out that I repair instruments, and now I'm fixing his instruments at home to keep myself busy So, here it is: The headstock was snapped off. The solution was to glue it back on without any cleanup of the joint. But since the joint wasn't perfect, they thought some rigidity could be achieved by bolting it in place. While this solution works, its not the most cosmetic, it adds weight to the headstock of an already top-heavy guitar, and it causes stability problems... cuz you know, now there's a hole in it. I'm going to remove the bolt, saw out the area, add a new piece of wood to replace the spot that the bolt was left in, plane the joints and join them properly. The end result will be either a seamless joint where you won't be able to tell I repaired it, or it'll have a contrasting color of wood in it because I'll show that option to Kyle and he'll be like "ZOMG DO THAT." FireFly
I've been typing L337 since it came out in 99, and even I'm not sure where the z comes from... Whenever I talk really girly with my friends, it's common to add an s or a w to things. Or just to make it baby cute, we'll spell each others names wrong. For example, Darcie would be Dawsie, Amiee would be Amez, etc. I used to type lol with an s at the end to signify that lol was a verb. Eventually, people started turning the s into a z, so lols turned into lolz. Now it's lulz... Then 4chan came out, and people started altering it a lot. Things became "for teh lulz" and ROFFLECOPTERs started flying around. The word ZORZ started being added to the end of words as well. "GTFO MAI INTERNETZORZ" is an example. I guess it's an effort to make things look more childish. Wow, this derailed fast!

You can thank hackers for inventing it to avoid crawlers and search engines finding their conversations forums and bbs. 3y3 H4x0r j00 n00b
