Tattoosleeve Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 Anybody know where I can locate plans for a Horizon style body? Quote
SwedishLuthier Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 Shouldn't be to hard to draw from scratch. If no one steps up with ready made plans, PM me and I can probably quite quick give you at least some pretty accurate plans (in PDF) for the outline, neck pocket etc. Quote
westhemann Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 I think that one is the same as the M body, but with a carved top Quote
Tattoosleeve Posted March 4, 2013 Author Report Posted March 4, 2013 I think you're right about it being the same as the M. Perhaps not a bad idea to start with the flat top anyway being my first build. Quote
Tattoosleeve Posted March 4, 2013 Author Report Posted March 4, 2013 Swedish, I do have the rough body shape that I traced out from a dead on shot that I just grabbed online. Things like neck pocket and actual body size measurements are what I'm after. Based on a few builds I've seen there are plans floating around somewhere but if I can't track any down I'd certainly be grateful if you took a few minutes to bang something out. I'll keep you posted. Quote
Tattoosleeve Posted March 4, 2013 Author Report Posted March 4, 2013 I did manage to find some MK II plans for purchase online but they are paper plans only and while I could buy these and trace them out in the computer the whole point of buying the plans is to skip this process. Any links to sources of .pdf plan sellers? Quote
westhemann Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 The Jackson Dinky is so close to an M as to be considered the same.I have ordered from this guy before and the templates are pretty good.It takes some time for him to ship them though http://www.guitarbui...s.com/GT-33.jpg http://www.guitarbuildingtemplates.com/Other-Popular.htm Quote
Tattoosleeve Posted March 4, 2013 Author Report Posted March 4, 2013 Beauty, this should suit me just fine. Thanks Wes......and Swedish for the offer. Quote
