GuitarMaestro
Hi! I realized that I still need some measurements for my Ibanez Universe Copy: 1. How long is the fingerboard after the 24th fret. I need the distance between the 24th fret slot and the end of the fingerboard. 2. Does the fingerboard extend over the heel of the neck? If yes how much overhang does it have? I am talking about the all-access neck joint here. 3. Where are the PU's placed on the Universe? Great would be distances measured from the 24th fret.... 4. Does the neck pocket unite with the neck PU cavity or are they separated by wood from the body? Thanks in advance, Marce Knapp!

EKG
Do you have access to JEM plans/measurements? They are the same.....just wider pup routes and wider neck route.
GuitarMaestro
Yes I have access to the original Jem body plans, but they dont have a contoured heel and without having a Jem neck plan I cannot figure out these dimensions. StreamLine
cheers, what about how much fretboard wood is present after fret 24?
daveq
cheers, what about how much fretboard wood is present after fret 24? I always thought it was standard to go to the next fret and end it there. In that case fret #25, yes, no?
jammy
according to my new flashy digital calipers (ooohhhh ) its exactly 9.28mm (from the centre of the 24th fret, to the end of the fingerboard) Looks like it could be 25th fret position, yeah
