Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
Its 25 fret, but not inlaid all the way. Does it look right? All I have left is clearcoat, and drilling for the stop and TOM.All the binding is flamed maple and the inlays are maple dowel pieces. Should I buy a smaller dowel and finish it off or leave it? daveq
I'm really bad at acronyms as I have said before. What does DC stand for (or is it the model name)? That's a pretty wild looking fretboard. Is it purple heart or did you dye it purple'ish?
darren wilson
You know, looking at the guitar laying on the floor, i think i like your body shape better upside-down. Have you ever made a reverse version of it?
MKGBass
are you sure you're looking at the upside down? The only back pictures are the 2nd and 3rd one on the first post... Other than that, the reverse just looks like a lefty.
darren wilson
I'm talking about the ones on the floor where it looks like a lefty (but with the knobs in the wrong place. Reverse that so it's a righty and it looks better to my eye. Here's what i mean: The proportions look more pleasing to my eye when it's that way. The upper horn just doesn't look right to me, otherwise. But that's just me.
daveq
I like it flipped also.
Drak
Maybe he was shooting for more of an Ibanez Destroyer look. Didn't Dean make a body somewhat like that too?
basey
nice I love that purpleheart fretboard. Very sharp looking. It goes good with the green too.
paradox
I'm really bad at acronyms as I have said before. What does DC stand for (or is it the model name)? That's a pretty wild looking fretboard. Is it purple heart or did you dye it purple'ish? i think DC means double-cut. well... at least Gibson calls they're double-cuts DCs. either way, the guitar looks awesome, man. Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
Yes, DC is doublecut. The reverse thing would look bes if I did an Iceman cutaway. At least to me.

skibum5545
with such a short top horn, won't it balance badly on the strap? just a thought...
Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
no the top horn is longer...you must be referring to the "reverse" design. Balance on this puppy is beyond perfect.

Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
You mean my cow looks like a cat? Seriously thanx. The guitar looks AMAZING now with the clear and buffing done. And Lucky (the cat) is the coolest ever. He likes to pose for pictures. He seems to know when the camera is present, and sneaks his way right on in alot.
