feylya
Seeing as piezo's detect vibrations, would there be enough vibrations from the posts of a Floyd Rose to get a signal? I have a metal bar on my guitar that the posts go through that has a very snug fit with the posts. Anyone think slamming a piezo element underneath it would work? KeithHowell
If it vibrates it will give you a signal. Try it out and see what it sounds like. Those piezo buzzer elements only cost about a dollar. Keith
feylya
Yeah, I think I've a few lying around. I might crack one open and see.... What sort of amplification is needed?
ansil
a simple jfet booster, made up of just a few parts would be ideal as you can run this off a n cell batterie for about a year.
