bob7
Could you put a d-tuna on each string saddle, so that you could instantly go from E standard to dropping all strings 1 step? Would it work, or no?
krazyderek
short answer is NO long answer, well the last time we talked about this, i think the consensus was something like... because on a floating bridge there is an interdependance of the string's tension that the d-tuna doesn't have the correct range to be used on all the strings at once, neither would be accuratly adjust the tension on the high pitched (smaller strings) even if it was a one way tremolo.... however this is all theoretical, no one as ever tried it... HeavnerGuitarWorks
What if you used the D-tuna on all the strings and used a Tremsetter with the springs to stabilize the lack in tension when the tuning is dropped. Just a thought!
Scott Rosenberger
What if you used the D-tuna on all the strings and used a Tremsetter with the springs to stabilize the lack in tension when the tuning is dropped. Just a thought! No, because the dTuna only has a certain amount of travel. Each different gauge string has to travel a different amount to drop 1 step
Scott Rosenberger
Also for the way less than cost of 6 dtunas you could but the Hipshot Trillogy bridge and have like 277 different tuning possibilities
