  1. How much for the hard drives and the TI-89
  2. I think that one of the volume pots, maybe both are improperly grounded..
  3. the walnut blanks...1 piece? How's the figuring on the tops?
  4. could it be a baritone? maybe a long scale? It does look like the bridge is pretty far down the body
  5. hmmm...with magnets like that, I bet you could put them through the back of the guitar, and have them pickup the strings, with a good 2 inches of wood between them...Hmmm maybe a pickup-less look.
  6. http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/v2/diagrams/lpb2_sc.gif that should do the trick
  7. I'm at a point in my project where I need to thickness plane a body, but I cannot afford to purchase one, and cannot find a rental place that has this nearby. What types of shops should have them? I plan to call and ask if they would run it for me for a small fee.
  8. GFS pickups got good reviews on harmony-central, and they are pretty cheap (look on ebay for GFS...the guy has an ebay store.) 43 dollars for the highest priced stuff.
  9. i fixed it (i hope) http://www.t-mobilepictures.com/photos/pho...8ghsqpreqtgt0ic Hows it look now?
  10. http://www.t-mobilepictures.com/photo/phot...fpk0k1r00zsur89 bigger pic of schematic http://www.t-mobilepictures.com/photos/pho...fpk0k1r00zsur89 I think that I may have drawn this correctly (or close), but I was wondering if anyone could look it over and make any suggestions/changes/etc. I think I labeled everything well. 3 Push/pull pots, and 1 regular pot (all 500k) Volume pots (both push/pull) act as on/off switches for each pup P/p tone is phase reversal on/off/on (i think, or maybe it should be on/on/on) acts as a NorthCoil/Humbucker/SouthCoil switch (one for each pup) 1 overall kill switch coming right before the output jack. Actual setup will have an onboard LPB1 between the killswitch and the output jack (along with a stereo jack of course) so if anyone could show me how to throw that in to the mix I'd appreciate it. Thanks
  11. Yes, but what fun would that be.
  12. Would anyone be kind enough to draw up a schematic for this setup H-H, 2 volume DPDT push/pulls, 2 tone DPDT push/pulls, 2 on-on-on mini switches Volume push/pulls acting as on/off switches for each pickup Tone push/pull 1 series/parallel for both pups on as humbuckers Tone push/pull 2 phase reversal for both pups as buckers Mini-switches function as NorthCoils-Humbucker-SouthCoil selector Thanks
  13. Well, even most of the posted pics have SOME resemblance to the more popular body styles. pic 1 is les paul-esque 2 is a highly moded strat 4+5 are stratty 6 is an sg with a little twist The main shape is still mostly based off the major styles.....
  14. i think only 1, since the strings connect them one should be grounded by the other....If you can ground strings by grounding the tom, then i guess the strings touching the tailpiece would ground that as well. But im not an expert, Im just speculating
  15. I don't see why you couldn't, and I'm pretty sure some guitarists would re-evaluate their pick choice if you did.
  16. Its a HORRIBLE DEAL man!!!! By the way, could i maybe get this guys number......Lotsa good parts in there
  17. remember there are two ways to do everything.... 1: The fast, easy, inefficient way and 2: the slower, tedious, more efficient way Try not to take the easy way out (unless the easy way is more efficient), and make sure you will be proud of your work.
  18. Does anyone know where i can find a 6/4 x 4" x 36" or similarly sized piece of wenge for a neckthru guitar? (to serve as the neck)
  19. Is there a site that has a comparison of the different tom stlye bidges. They all look so similar, and i can't discern where the differences lie in these. If there is a site which explains the difference between the ABR, the Nashville, etc could someone show me it? Otherwise which is the lowest profiled/best quality/most adjustable/etc TOM (bridge only no tailpiece....)? Thanks
  20. Im thinking of going with a string through body style guitar, instead of a trem for my first build, for 2 reasons (1 its a bit easier, and 2 all of my other guitars are trem). So what are the options for this? I know there is the TOM, and some of the strat style non trems, but does anyone have any others
  21. it cuts out areas in the middle of wood.....Like a pickup cavity, or a control cavity.....
  22. You could cover the holes with some tape, or you could punch through it later with thin screwdriver.....Just make sure to do this BEFORE you finish the back.
  23. any Printer (not like a computer printer, i mean a print shop) should be able to do this
