Scott Rosenberger
Would you rather that guitar made it to a music store somewhere with a defect in it?

Scott Rosenberger
I know a couple people who work there. on another note look at the guitar sawing from a business standpoint. Sure the **** retentive types would still want a mint guitar but I imagine alot of guys would settle for a blem guitar but as a business owner, why put the time and labor into finishing a "second" that you can only sell to a guy at a discount when you can sell a regular guitar at full price. You still have to pay the people who work for you the same $$$ whether they're making 1st or second quality so why not maximize your profit
PaulNeeds
Still hurts to see it though! I love the story Paul Smith tells of his going onto the factory floor to make a guitar again, and his got cut up cos it doesn't meet QC the expectations! Think it's on the video that those clips are culled from.
