skibum5545
like... shape? finish? or electronics and wiring? For shape, print out a front-on pic of the guit full size and trace!
Pex657
Where can i get a camera and a printer that will do life size pictures and prints?
skibum5545
Find out how wide or how long the body is, take the largest front-on pic you can find, blow it up to full size using that, then print that out on multiple sheets of paper and tape them together. truerussian558
or take it to a print shop and have them blow it up for you for a few dollars, but its always better to get a cad drawing (or other vector based drawings) as bmp's and jpg's start to pixelate when they're blown up too big. oh and i think that the string spread is the best place to measure from as it is constant
westhemann
oh and i think that the string spread is the best place to measure from as it is constant no it isn't....you have f-spaced,non f-spaced,and some bridges let you customize string spacing the scale length of any guitar is pretty easy to research
truerussian558
actualy now that you mention it scale lkenght is the best, but it is much more acurate to measure to the 12th fret, as intonation adjusments will change the scale lenght
Pex657
guess I will have to wait. The nearest store that sells an Iceman is over 40 mintues away from me, and I don't have a car . Need to wait until the school year starts to get my car.

Pex657
still looking for one then, would the picture on the Ibanez site count as a good picture?
truerussian558
more or less, as long as its straight on it should be fine. non eof those angled pics
darren wilson
This is about as good as you're going to get online. It's better than most, at least. The scale length is 24 3/4", so when you're scaling it up, just get the distance from the nut to the 12th fret to be 12 3/8" and you'll have it pretty close to actual size. Pex657
let me try it then. hopefully it will work
Jehle
I drew my V out by hand from a one page print out. Just as Darren suggested, I started with the known length from the nut to the 12 fret, half the string scale. From that I was able to get a conversion factor from mm to inches. Armed with a calculator and 10th grade geometry I was able to draw the V body, neck, headstock, everything, in full size on a few sheets of printer paper taped together. It was tedious, but also very simple.
Pex657
Ok, still trying... trying something a bit different, hopefully it will work the same.
truerussian558
what you can do is print a small picture, then draw grid lines all over it that are uniformed, then figure out how much you need to blow it up, and draw anothere grid on a piece of poster board, with the larger (much) grid spacing, then copy square by square,.
