croaticum Posted July 17, 2004 Report Share Posted July 17, 2004 hi guys! i just did my first explorer thingie and i wanned to show you guys what it looks like! dunno maybe ill cut out so it looks like real explorer but gor now i have that little bump on rear side of guitar where it should be curve! thats how neck would look like! its old ibanez neck i got my hands on and i just sawed out a bit and decides that ill have 4 tuners up, and 2 tuners on bottom of the head shar inlay, i just love it I thot painting it metalic blk?! any ideas just fire away Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Docaroo Posted July 19, 2004 Report Share Posted July 19, 2004 a neat little trick that i'm going to do on my warlock that im painting is to give it a "dusting" with some silver metallic paint. I'm going to put down a coat of metallic midnight blue, then lay the guitar down, and holding the can of silver a fair bit away, give it a dust of silver! should bring out a real sparkling feel to the finish i hope! something you might wanna try.. !!
