guitman32 Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 I dont think its that big a deal where you place them. You shouldnt put it too close to the nut though, which would result in a lot of tension on the tree and the strings. I would just go look at a fender and copy it. Quote

litchfield Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 What you want is a good angle from the nut so the strings dont pop out of the nut. You also dont want to interrupt the straight pull of the strings. That is why there is no set formula. However, you'll notice roller trees are places differently than bent ones. Reason being the rollers are taller. Quote
