  1. Good good - from what I hear there very useful tools!
  2. Looking ace! I cant wait to see it complete. What finish do you have planned?
  3. the headstock is 21cm long, and about 1.5cm thick.... sooo..... 21sin9 = 3.285 then, to be on the safe side add the headstock thickness and a bit - say 2 cm alltogether? So I would go with 5.285 cm (probably 6) thick at least. Hope that helps
  4. Ill have a measure up of mine when I get home - Im in college at the moment
  5. try your local hardwear store - they will have something very similar if not identical
  6. I doubt you can get silver grout but Im sure white would look alot better than the grey you have. And Im positive you can get that I have it in my bathroom!
  7. Just got my hands on some more paint stripper so I should have that sorted by the end of the evening. Also got some paint for the base coat and some primer. Can somone talk me through applying this to raw wood - do I need anthing else? Also, I have "plastikote" paint...is this the right stuff?
  8. The only thing I can think of to get rid of the exposed edges would be to bind the body, thus covering em up.
  9. Im looking to start doing small scale luthiery as a bit of an extra cash earner (just setups, re-wires etc...) and I need to get a shure fire way of doing scallops well each time. I was talking to Jeremy (LGM guitars) about it and he said he uses pre-radiused sanding blocks and has one for each fret. I would like to know of a way to make radiused blocks in an accurate way (LGM just beltsands them, which is fair enough, but I want to know if a more accuate way is possible) down to very small radia (about 0.7 cm I expect). See what you guys can come up with! Thanks in advance
  10. Another useful gem of info on this site - oh how I love it
  11. not a bad idea! I found a pic of the finish im goin for... me likes
  12. Yeah I quite like pickup logos I suppose - never really thought about it before tho. Just makes the guitar look a bit classier IMO
  13. I think Ive found the finish for my kramer! looks really easy and very good I think a pink base coat with a black top coat would look pretty cool, and very 80's
  14. Oh yeah anther question for you fountains of knowladge lol...well I need to fill the neck pickup hole, I will of course do it mainly with wood but was wondering what filler to use to skim finish the joints?
  15. we could have some fun with this...lol
  16. The program to open these files is actually on the same website as the file... here Ive got the voloview express one - works great
  17. Bit more work done today. most of the paint is off but I freaking ran out of paint stripper - off to the hardwear store tomorrow! PS. on the pick of the back that is one of my freakishly long thumbs creeping into shot and you guys on the PC in the background
  18. Height along the side of the fretbaord appears to constant. I wonder how they could have done that.....
  19. Great mod! looks perfect - get doing some kkkrazy trem s**t
  20. I had thought about the industrial look - but I have decided on shred machine - I wanna inlay a speedo Whats model is the charvel your doing? Ive been lookin out for a kahler equipped charvel for a while now...
  21. It looks to be about 7mm....but it seriously hard to measure cus I cant get at the end of the board from anywhere. Its 5mm at the side, the radius is 430mm and you allready know the width - Im sure theres a mathematician here that could work out the thickness in the middle. I probably could but I really dont have the time....
