  1. one man's trash is another man's treasure i guess. I think it should be a rule that if you dont' like the way it came out, don't junk it... sell it
  2. you don't gotta finish em lol. Some people might like the sound of unfinished wood? i donno lol.l i may be just talking out my a... butt
  3. M'kay, someone else said it, so now i can say it (phwiew) Ya i don't particularly like the shape of the thing. I mean, it looks nice, and the finish and craftsmanship is amazing... but wow it just looks ugly...
  4. ooooo a burst crackle! That'd be very interesting.
  5. lol sorry about that. But wow those things are huge o.O I'm gonna be scared, nevermind my bird lol
  6. well they're thesebugs that crawl around in the ground for a long time. they're in the same family as those locusts. So when they get to be old, they pop out of the ground, crawl out of their baby shells and grow a set of wings, and eat all our. Then they mate, lay eggs, the larva crawl into the ground and feed off of roots, and 17 years later it all happens again. [edited cuz of excessive use of the F and S words... sorry bout that!]
  7. alrighty, cool Thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate it!
  8. huh? [edit] oooooooh! http://www.indystar.com/articles/0/110803-...3-1780-009.html >.< this is probably gonna scare the crap out of my bird [edit again (i'm tired >.<)] apparently its in india or something... and the eastern US. Is NH okay?
  9. I don't mean to be critical, but the first thing i think of when i see the flame job is a large woman facing away from me with her butt cut off...
  10. Oh, well then i don't want coil tapping lol. All i really wana do is just have a normal setup: 3 pickups, 5 way switch, 1 volume, 1 tone. Position 1 = Neck Position 2 = Neck and Middle Position 3 = Middle Position 4 = Middle and Bridge Position 5 = Bridge I've searched throughout allllllllll of the SD site, and came up with something close, but not quite. The guitar electronics thing is pretty helpful... I found a diagram that makes sense to me up until it gets to the switch... http://static.zoovy.com/img/guitarelectron.../wdu_hhh5l11_01 o.O what is that?
  11. Well sound is a preference. If anything, i think the metal pickguard would add more weight to the tone wood, and probably cancle out vibration, thereby losing some of the natural wood tone. Either that or it'll act as an external magnet, and i'll be able to hear when my hand brushes across it lol.
  12. coil tapping is the same as blending two pickups... right?
  13. well i would have chosen Jackson but it wasn't there. So i chose Gibson. I've always wanted an SG or a Les Paul, but they're out of my price range. They just sound soooooooooooo thick and heavy. I love that sound, and its what i've been after for such a long time. But i needed a guitar to practice on, so i bought an ibanez GRX20. Then i saw the RG250DX and it was just such a beautiful guitar. so i got that.
  14. Tough one, huh lol. Alright ^.^ Thanks anyway!
  15. oh wow! I think i'll try that technique on my GRX when i get a hold of it. I'm excited now lol.
  16. OOOOOOOOooooooooooooh! Thanks! That's been bugging me for years, and i felt really stupid asking >.o woo! i can finally think about something else now
  17. Well i donno if heating the wood would change the sound... i don't think it would. But changing the frets would, wouldn't it? I donno, i'm kinda new to refretting.
  18. I like my 99 Sentra. Its a fun car to drive, but not so fun for snow... i mean, ya the front wheel drive is good if you're stuck and the front wheels are touching the ground, but chances are that you'll have stuff in the back, and the front wheels won't be touching... so ya that sucked quite a few times on the way to college >.< But anyway, it warms up nice and fast, gets about 400 miles on its 10 gal tank, and doesn't cost much to keep maintained ^.^ Now if i could only find a way to get perminant all wheel drive in it.
  19. Oooooookay, here's what i've got Ibanez Powersound in the neck (2 conductor wiring) Hotrails in the middle (4 conductor wiring) JB in the bridge (4 conductor wiring) 1 volume 1 tone 5 way switch I've been having quite a time finding a correct wiring diagram for this. Every time i wire it up to a way that kinda works, i'll get a grounding problem, or 2 channels sound exactly the same on the 5 way... So yeah, i'm not very experienced with this. So yeah, i figured that you guys deal with this stuff all the time and might know a way to do it ^.^ Thanks!
  20. Ibanez guitars with floyd style bridges have the 13 degree angled neck, and don't require string trees. I've been wondering what the bar right behind the nut is for for a while now though.
  21. I've been told by a few people that super glue is just fine. When i finally get back to college and get my refretted guitar back, (there's a few lifted frets on it because of the Fed Ex delivery) I'll be able to test it out.
  22. wow, that looks awesome! I'm sure it looks even better in person ^.^ Cameras don't do guitars much justice >.<

Or you can do what i did on my RG250DX with the duncans, and do a bad wiring job It'll play beautifully, but sometimes i'll put my hand on the strings, and end up shattering glass with the amount of feed back i get >.O Its because i accidently burnt the white wire and now it touches the bare wire.
