  1. here are some cheap pre cut inlays http://stores.ebay.com/The-Guitar-Parts-Ce...6QQftidZ2QQtZkm
  2. i have decided to go with the kl headstock again for this project. with the zebrawood neck it should look awesome. and with 3x3 black tuners with wooden knobs on the tuners. what do you think? any thoughts? i like to know what people think about my projects, especially since my threads never get very many replies. thanks!
  3. this is my next project. an original rhoads shape solid african mahogany body with zebrawood neck and rosewood fretboard. it will be finished with tung oil. i dont have the neck wood yet, should arrive by the end of the week. guitarheads hex pole pickups, and 2 volume, 1 tone. this is my 7th rhoads guitar. ya i know, im obsessed.
  4. even though most of them will only post like once. still cool.
  5. i think i remember that it is extremly hard, but i cant search for it. it brings up a million things that have nothing to do with it. thanks guys
  6. http://guitarelectronics.zoovy.com/product/WDUH01101 clik on the pic to enlarge it
  7. michael angelo's guitar is not a 22.5. that has to be at least a baritone scale, or else you wouldnt be able to even play the hight frets. that guitar has 29 frets. why would you assume that is a short scale guitar? that neck is huge
  8. if you really want to get closer to a 24 scale, a ebay seller sells 25.4 scale length fretboards. with the first fret cut off, it would get you closer
  9. i am attempting to sell some of these bits. some have different length shanks and cutters. i will ask 15 bucks each, free shipping to the US. pm or reply here to find out more if you want. i think i have 2 more shapes than in the pics. look at the size of them compared to an 1/8" router bit with a 1/4 shank. thanks for looking! http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb262/k...erbits002-1.jpg http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb262/k...erbits003-1.jpg
  10. i have done it with no problems whatsoever. i have done that on 9 previous builds, but with tom bridges and only 1 floyd. you have any pics? i'm curious what it would actually look like. sorry, my old computer crashed that had all my pics of previous builds, so i dont have a pic of it. it doesnt look that different, depending on how thick your fretboard is
  11. i have done it with no problems whatsoever. i have done that on 9 previous builds, but with tom bridges and only 1 floyd.
  12. for my next build, i have been thinking, and i am pretty much decided on what i am doing. i will be doing an original shape rhoads v with a chrome diamond plate top, all black hardware, esp reverse style headstock, and some kind of creative inlays. i was thinking of doings something in aluminum, to go with the theme. i know a lot of you dont like diamond plate on guitars, bujt what do you think of the whole idea? also i was thinking of using duncans like randy, but also there are some guitarheads i would also like to try out.
  13. but since the neck is in the way, how do you do that? thats my whole problem. on a lp, the electronics cavity is really far away. , so how do you even start drilling. you cant get straight in like on a set neck or bolt on
  14. on a neck thru guitar with duel hums, how do you drill the holes for the wires to connect from the neck to the bridge hum? i guess you can drill a hole at an angle but i cant get it done on my guitar. thanks guys!
  15. it isnt a real jackson. its a hondo formula 1. no era of jackson rhoads has a trem rout like that, and there is no jackson with a plywood body. great design though, and great job so far
  16. you will never find inlays on ebay by searching for specific inlays. just type in guitar inlays. i look at the m all the time. check out this page http://stores.ebay.com/The-Guitar-Parts-Ce...6QQftidZ2QQtZkm

  21. Agreed, I sent him a message regarding what he uses to record. His songs are well composed, I love the bass and drum lines! from what ive heard, he writes all the bass lines to his stuff and mixes it in
  22. im going to say its just yours. you should contact ronni, hes great about fixing problems. i have ordered numerous sets, and all of them fit exactly. you might have got a mismatched set by accident.
