  1. My singer's got one along with the Riffworks software, I've used it several times and I love it, I'm hoping to get myself one very soon. The range of sounds is very impressive and the quality is superb. Line 6 are also bringing out the Toneport this winter, which from what I've read is basically a Guitarport but with even more features... http://line6.com/toneport/
  2. Ahh yeah the pics must of been hosted on Fullserve before it went down, have a look at the ones on his blog... http://home.asparagine.net/ant/blog
  3. Rustins Plastic Coating, it can be buffed to a high gloss or you can rub it down with fine wire wool to a nice satin finish. Have a search for Setch's Les Paul thread for an example.
  4. You won't have that problem with my wood, all of my body blanks will be sold planed to 1 3/4"
  5. Just to give you guys a heads up...I'm in the process of starting up a small business selling Tonewoods (and eventually parts, etc) in the UK. I've just got some wood for body blanks which will be for sale soon (Tops will follow in a few months) It will be very small scale but I hope to be able to offer stuff at a good price and you'll be able to see the exact piece you're buying on my website. .....sorry for the Spam

  7. I've just had a search and it appears I was right.... http://www.sheppardguitars.com/bubinga.htm http://www.lmii.com/CartTwo/thirdproducts....frican+Rosewood
  8. Now I might be wrong...but I believe African Rosewood is another name for Bubinga (which isn't a true Rosewood) If that is the case then it shouldn't be too hard to find some.
  9. Two words....Jack Daniels I've been doing mostly acoustic gigs over the last couple of years which have been really nerve racking, I'm much more confident when I've got a band with me. I get nervous hours before the gig is due to start and I loose my appetite completely but as soon as I start to play I'm ok and when I hear the audience's reaction after the first song I really start to enjoy it then as soon as your enjoying it, it's all over....an hours set seems to last about 5 minutes
  10. I'd recommend... http://www.axminster.co.uk their catalogue has just about anything you could want for woodworking, and their service is top notch.
  11. Like Maiden said, speak to Setch. Here's a neck he built for me earlier this year.... http://home.asparagine.net/ant/blog/?page_id=20 ....and it cost a lot less that Warmoth neck you're looking at
  12. They probably won't have one like that but http://www.axesrus.co.uk are pretty good.
  13. Woah £663.30 that's a damn good price, thanks for the link Feylya
  14. I owned a Charvel Fusion Custom in a very tastefull silver sparkle finish great guitar, in fact I'd like to get my hands on another one in the future.
  15. Low gain plexi crunch, JCM800 and a good amount of high gain...I can see I'll have to try one of these out, that's sounds exactly what I'm looking for I did wonder about the 4 channels, so it's more like 2 channels with gain boosts on each one? still that's better than most. Thanks Lovekraft
  16. Just wondering if any of you own/or have tried a ENGL Screamer combo? Any opinions on them would be appreciated (or any alternatives) On paper they seem like the perfect choice for what I'm looking for but I haven't had chance to try one out yet, their doesn't seem to be many shops that stock them around here. I've just started a new side project band and the prospect of lugging my Peavey Transfex Pro 212s to regular gig's and rehearsals doesn't fill me with joy don't get me wrong it's an incredible sounding amp but it's unbelievably heavy and apart from that I'm after more of a tube sound with this new band....think Spiritual Beggars, COC, Sabbath, Down...etc
  17. The only guitar I can think of with a Bat inlay is Paul Allender's (Cradle of Filth) PRS.... ...but to be honest if I were you I'd design my own to make it more unique
  18. That must be the first time I've seen a Britney poster next to a Slayer one
  19. I bet 99% of those people haven't even tryed one ← Just to make it clear, that comment wasn't aimed at you guys Like LK said, try it you might like it...but 100 watts is overkill for most people, there's no point in having a tube amp and playing it with the volume on 2 or having to use a power break all the time
  20. I bet 99% of those people haven't even tryed one
  21. The fence works fine, my mitre guide is still in the packaging so I can't comment on that I only really use it for cutting out bodies and for that it works great.
